ArcFM Solution Provider and Telvent IT Services to benefit the utility industry

Seville, Spain, and Fort Collins, Colorado -- Telvent and Miner & Miner (M&M) have formed a strategic partnership to jointly provide Enterprise GIS products and IT services to utilities throughout the world.

Miner & Miner is the developer and implementer of the ArcFM™ Solution and is a business partner of ESRI, the world leader in GIS software development. The ArcFM Solution, which is the market-leading suite of utility Enterprise GIS products for data management, work order design, network analysis, and outage management, is designed to bring significant business benefits to an organization.

Telvent is a recognized leader in RealTime IT solutions for the energy, traffic, transportation, and environment sectors. The OASyS DNA family of products has set the standard for modular, extensible realtime data acquisition, control and information management. Telvent's overall integration architecture and advanced industry application suites enable enhanced operational efficiency, more timely decision making, improved customer service, and increased return on investment.

“We are pleased to be working with such a dynamic, far-sighted partner,” said Jeff Meyers, President of Miner & Miner. “Telvent's vision of the integrated utility architecture, coupled with their extensive knowledge of utility IT systems, makes them an ideal teammate for us. We intend to work together to provide an environment that will be far more powerful than anything available today. And we are going to expose the industry to a different level of data integration.”

Telvent's Chairman, Manuel Sánchez Ortega, believes that the strategic alliance will provide multiple benefits for the industry. “At the product level, this technology and strategic partnership will enable the integration of ArcFM and OASyS DNA to deliver a powerful end-to-end solution for utilities,” he said. “Through the partnership of Telvent and M&M, the industry will have an experienced set of partners to ensure the professional delivery of a full-scope utility solution.”
