ArcFM™ Solution to Leverage ArcGIS® Server and Engine
New Products Extend ArcFM Solution with More Enterprise Options
Fort Collins, CO -- Miner & Miner (M&M) is featuring several new products coming up in the next release of the ArcFM Solution 9.0.2 that will take advantage of ESRI’s ArcGIS Server and ArcGIS Engine architecture. These products include ArcFM Viewer for ArcGIS Engine, a Redliner extension for ArcFM Viewer, ArcFM Server Developer Kit, and ArcFM Engine Developer Kit.
ArcFM Viewer for ArcGIS Engine provides similar functionality found in the current ArcFM Viewer product that runs on ArcView®, but can now be bundled with ArcGIS Engine. This approach provides for a lower cost option to support tracing, viewing, and querying of GIS data in the office or the field.
The Redliner Extension for ArcFM Viewer provides comprehensive redlining and sketching functionality. Users can initiate redlining sessions using Session Manager in the office or in the field, and apply a combination of digital ink and graphics for markups. A new graphics palette allows personnel to quickly and easily place graphic and standard text elements in support of sketch editing and design.
ArcFM Server Developer Kit for ArcGIS Server supplements ESRI’s comprehensive GIS toolkit for enterprise and Web application developers. It is used to build distributed and multi-tier enterprise information systems. ArcFM-specific components include support for editing and business rule enforcement, model names, ArcFM properties, and internationalization. The ArcFM Engine Developer Kit is a set of components and developer resources that lets programmers add ArcFM capabilities to existing ArcGIS Engine-based applications.
ArcGIS Engine and Server are a tremendous step forward for enterprise GIS, said Jeff Meyers, President of Miner & Miner. By continuing to extend the ArcFM Solution to take advantage of new deployment options, our users have many more ways to bring enterprise GIS into their organizations. It is an interesting time to be a part of the ArcGIS community, and Engine and Server demonstrate yet again the technology leadership and commitment of ESRI and M&M.
