Miner & Miner First GIS to Achieve Compliance with MultiSpeak2

Fort Collins, CO -- Miner & Miner (M&M) becomes the first GIS vendor to pass compliance testing for MultiSpeak2. ArcFM and Network Adapter were tested and certified compliant against the MultiSpeak2 schema on December 16, 2003.
M&M's compliance with MultiSpeak2 gives utility companies the ability to interface ArcFM to other MultiSpeak compliant applications, including engineering analysis, outage analysis, and SCADA functions. Implementing ArcFM and Network Adapter with the M&M standardized off-the-shelf ArcFM MultiSpeak database provides a powerful solution that is easy to implement, use, and maintain.

The MultiSpeak Initiative is a collaborative effort of the National Rural Electric Cooperative Association (NRECA), along with software providers and consultants, formed to foster the development of cost-effective, interoperable software products for electric utilities.
