Miner & Miner Completes Successful Annual User Group Conference

Three-Day Meeting Focuses on ArcFM Solution and Services

Fort Collins, CO -- Miner & Miner, Consulting Engineers, Inc. (M&M) hosted its annual User Group Meeting (MMUG) during the first week in February. Nearly 200 attendees from across the globe spent three days discussing advances in M&M’s products and services. The sessions, held in Fort Collins CO, provided users with the opportunity to share their experiences and concentrate on suggested requirements and added functionality for further product enhancements.

This year’s MMUG sessions focused on demonstrations and discussions of product functionality, as well as implementation issues in four parallel tracks: two tracks for product feedback, including one for new users and one for advanced users, a technical track concentrating on product functionality and support for implementations, and an end user track providing sessions for managers and people new to the technology. Users attended presentations and demonstrations on current issues and future trends for the ArcFM Solution, M&M’s energy and water utility application suite. An annual attendee of the MMUG conference, Chuck Drinnan from Logica CMG, said, “It speaks well for Miner & Miner and ESRI in this market that this is the largest [MMUG] conference yet. The amount of time and effort Miner & Miner put into this conference, and the availability of the staff, was a nice touch.”

This year’s conference focused on allowing for discussions between a variety of company and utility representatives. The conference also provided the opportunity for guests to present experiences to the group. “I liked being able to able to give feedback in the sessions. I also enjoyed the networking aspect between Miner & Miner and their customers and all of the customers in the industry,” said Jim Hennessey from Lincoln Electric, NE.

Ken Beville from Kissimmee Utility Authority said, “This was the Kissimmee Utility Authority's first MMUG Conference. We found it to be the most educational and informative show we have attended thus far. The Miner & Miner staff went out of their way to make the user's experience both pleasant and motivating. We'll most certainly be back next year!”
