Growth Leads to Hiring Increase and Facility Expansion at Miner & Miner
Fort Collins, CO -- Due to continuing growth as the market
leader of enterprise GIS solutions for energy and water/wastewater
utilities, Miner & Miner added 19 staff members to the organization in
2004. To accommodate this hiring increase, Miner & Miner expanded
its current headquarters in Fort Collins, Colorado, by 6,900 square
feet.
The two-story building expansion, which was completed after 6 months of
construction, provides more offices, additional conference rooms and
storage, and a larger, more modern training facility. Both the building
and personnel growth reflect M&M's ongoing mission of offering quality
products and services to their expanding user and business partner
community.
In order to facilitate the growing demand for greater project support,
the Applications Team supplemented their team with five additional Project
Managers, four Analysts, and an Education Specialist. The Marketing Team
hired an International Strategic Account Manager to focus exclusively on
relationships with overseas accounts, three Strategic Account Managers to
work with customers in specific regional areas, and a Proposal Coordinator
to manage timely response to proposal bids. To support the continually
growing product line, the Product Team signed on two additional Quality
Assurance Analysts and a Software Engineer. The Operations Team also
expanded their group with the addition of an in-house Travel Coordinator
to support the growth in business-related travel.
This expansion provides us with a good base for future growth in
product development and customer support. While we also expect
growth in our satellite offices (Athens, GA and Philadelphia), we know we
will have to continue to grow in Ft. Collins. It helps that Northern
Colorado is an attractive area making it easier to recruit talented
people, said Jeff Meyers, President of Miner & Miner.
