Miner & Miner's 8.3.1 ArcFM™ Solution Released

Enterprise Solution for utilities available with enhanced functionality

Fort Collins, CO -- Miner & Miner (M&M) announces the tenth release of the ArcFM Solution on ArcGIS 8 for electric, gas, and water/wastewater utilities. The 8.3.1 ArcFM Solution comprises ArcFM, Designer, ArcFM Viewer, Conduit Manager, and Network Adapter solution components. This latest version continues to expand existing functionality as well as incorporates new enhancements.

The enhancements are a direct result of user feedback. The following updated components of the ArcFM Solution include:

ArcFM 8.3.1

ArcFM allows gas, water, wastewater, and electric utilities to make improvements in all critical business areas, including operations, engineering, customer service, marketing, and sales.

ArcFM 8.3.1 includes several new enhancements to the Locator tool, Abandon features tool, ArcFM Options tool, and Trace Tasks. Tracing has been re-engineered to improve performance and also simplified to provide easy one-click tracing. The Locator tool now includes the Object Query Locator, which supports queries of user-defined feature and object classes and their attribute fields.

Designer 8.3.1

Designer™ provides an integrated environment for preparing construction work sketches, work flow management, structural and network analysis, automated layouts, and job cost estimates.

Designer 8.3.1 introduces new features including enhancements to the ability to copy designs. Users may now also leverage the Mass Attribute Update tool within the Design and Work Function dialogs. The Extended Data Manager now allows users to assign values and easily propagate those values down through multiple levels within a work request, design, work location, or compatible unit.

Network Adapter 8.3.1

Miner & Miner's Network Adapter 8.3.1 provides utilities with a complete framework for implementing a seamless interface between the ArcFM Solution and third-party modeling and planning applications or analysis engines. As data is modified, system planners can quickly analyze the effects of the changes to the network.

Network Adapter 8.3.1 includes optimized performance enhancements and support for CymDist 4.0.

“We are constantly working with our users to prioritize and incorporate new and enhanced functionality within the product line,” said Mike Daniels, Miner & Miner VP of Product Development. “This release reflects our efforts of listening to the market and user community.”
