AED-SICAD to Embed ArcFM™ for Next Generation UT Solution

ArcFM to power new SICAD ESRI-based applications for utilities

Fort Collins, CO -- Miner & Miner (M&M) and AED-SICAD declare a strategic developer partnership to embed ArcFM within the next generation of SICAD-UT based on the ESRI ArcGIS platform.

This partnership follows the announcement of AED-SICAD's plans to re-engineer their current SICAD products for utilities to ESRI technology. In order to benefit from ESRI's ArcFM branding and jump-start the development efforts, the company will leverage the ArcFM components and incorporate them into the final ESRI-based SICAD-UT product. This will allow AED-SICAD to concentrate on extending the overall application to further meet the needs of the European utility market. Development plans are already underway and the initial release is scheduled for end of 2003.

Dr. Thomas Englert, CEO of AED-SICAD states, “By embedding ArcFM technology in the next generation of our utilities applications, our UT solution will leverage an industry standard application that is already present in the market today and allow us to focus on developing many new value-add functions for our existing user community as well as for new customers.”

“This represents an opportunity to partner with a team that will provide a powerful solution by leveraging their knowledge of European energy and water utility requirements and highly skilled development staff.” says Jeff Meyers, President of Miner & Miner.
