ArcFM™ Solution 9.2 Showcased at Telvent Miner & Miner’s 6th Annual User Group Conference

Three-Day Meeting Focuses on ArcFM Solution and Services

Fort Collins, CO -- Telvent Miner & Miner (TM&M) hosted their 6th annual User Group Meeting (TMMUG) the first week of April in Fort Collins, CO. Approximately 260 users and business partners from around the world spent three days discussing advances in TM&M’s products and services. The sessions, held at the Hilton Hotel in Fort Collins, CO, provided users with the opportunity to share their experiences and concentrate on suggested requirements and added functionality for further product enhancements. This year Telvent Miner & Miner focused on ArcFM Solution version 9.2, which was released at the conference.

Sid Terry, Leader GIS Implementation Team at Oklahoma Gas & Electric (OG&E), said “TMMUG is a very well-organized users event. There is time given for Telvent Miner & Miner to inform users of the direction they are heading and a time to acknowledge what was accomplished in the past years. They pay particular attention to users’ requests and interests. There also were plenty of opportunities to network with other users during the conference, as well as attend sessions that accommodate a wide variety of interest for the users including a forum for learning, questioning, and user input. The Telvent Miner & Miner User Group is an excellent experience and great fun.”

John Garrett, Field Inventory Supervisor from Garland Power & Light, comments on the availability of networking with other users, which can lead to enhancements and progress toward company goals. “I can always count on getting information and first-hand experience at the Telvent Miner & Miner User Group. Everyone is always willing to exchange ideas, experiences, and suggestions that help you to excel in your organizational goals. The sessions gave me a chance to see what others are doing and incorporate those ideas into what my company is trying to accomplish.”

Jose Eduardo Rojas, GIS Manager for Compaņia Nacional de Fuerza y Luz, S.A. (CNFL), shared his experience at TMMUG by saying “To know the plans, improvements, and new utilization of the ArcFM Solution, allowed us to review our own initiatives and adapt them accordingly to perform our work in a more efficient and effective way.”

Lesley Roddam, GIS Administrator at Reedy Creek, commented on the communication and organization at Telvent Miner & Miner User Group 2007. “I appreciated the feedback sessions targeted to individual software applications. It’s a positive sign that TM&M is seeking out input from its customers to improve their products. I was also impressed with the quality of the presentations and the number of employees the company dedicated to the conference.”

Cindi Salas, Manager, Geographic Information Services for CenterPoint Energy, said “The TMMUG Conference is not just a good venue for users of Telvent Miner & Miner’s software, but it is a great way to find out about what’s going on and what’s new in the electric, gas, and water industries from some of the most innovative users. This year’s program itself was chock full of content and comprehensive in that it offered beginning, intermediate, and advanced topics, as well as ample opportunity for user input. I highly recommend all Telvent Miner & Miner software users to attend this show!”
