Montgomery County Sanitary Engineering Department in Production with ArcFM™ Solution
Fort Collins, Colorado-- Telvent (NASDAQ: TLVT), the IT company for a sustainable and secure world, is pleased to announce Montgomery County Sanitary Engineering Department (MCSED) is now in production with Telvent’s ArcFM Solution. The system is used to develop and maintain their water distribution and sanitary sewer collection systems. The organization is now able to leverage a GIS solution that provides a more efficient way of maintaining and accessing facility records.
Montgomery County Sanitary Engineering Department, located in Kettering, OH serves 83,000 water and sanitary sewer customers in Montgomery County surrounding Dayton, OH. With the ArcFM Solution, MCSED is now able to eliminate the need to write and update custom scripts that were once needed for production and quality control. MCSED also wanted a solution that would help streamline data creation and editing, including a product that could be customized, if necessary, to meet specific business needs.
The GIS project began in November 2007 and the Sanitary Engineering Department IT Division and Field Operations Division went into production in late-March 2008 with 6 editors. Telvent provided training and support to guide MCSED GIS staff with installation and configuration of the software.
