Team Leader, Delivery

Position Summary & Major Responsibilities

Telvent Utility Delivery is structured to provide implementation services for external customers in a set of teams, each team containing project managers and analysts, including a lead analyst, organized roughly by geography. The Team Leader has overall responsibility for the financial and technical performance of the team.

The ideal candidate will use his/her skills to fill a leadership role by assisting with the organization and direction of the team.

Specific responsibilities include the following:

• Direct supervision of Project Managers and Technical Lead(s) within the team including assignment of individual responsibilities, tasks, and technical functions.
• Direct supervision of the team's Lead Analyst. The Team Leader will provide day-to-day assignments for the Lead Analyst.
• Direct supervision of individual analysts within the team. The Team Leader will work with the Lead Analyst to provide day-to-day assignments for each analyst.
• Works with the Director of GIS Delivery to set evaluation standards for the team and for Project Managers within the team.
• Works with the Director of GIS Delivery to determine which projects are assigned to the team.
• Works with Strategic Account Managers to monitor and ensure customer satisfaction.
• Oversees various projects of significant magnitude in terms of complexity, cost, time constraints, internal and external staffing and equipment.
• Identifies needs and allocates appropriate resources to complete specific project tasks on time.
• Continually monitors individual progress to ensure specific deadlines are met.
• Travels domestically and internationally, about 20-40%.

Education & Experience Preferred

• A BS/MS degree in CS, Engineering or Geography (or related field with computer emphasis).
• Strong interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills as well as client relations experience.
• Project implementation experience in a utility environment.
• Extensive technical experience implementing or using ArcGIS, ArcSDE, ArcFM, or related components.
• Management experience is a plus.
